Watford beat Manchester United 2-0 at Vicarage Road as David De Gea poor form get worse after his blunder save gave Nigel Pearson first home win as the Hornet manager.

Ismaila Sarr’s shot five minutes into the second period lacked power, but somehow squirmed through De Gea’s grasp, adding to the lack of aerial command he showed for Everton’s opening goal during last Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Watford compounded United’s misery with a second four minutes later as, after Aaron Wan-Bissaka brought down Sarr inside the box, captain Troy Deeney blasted home a penalty for his first Premier League goal in nine months.
